Winter Arts Fair @CFCP
8 – 18th December 2011
The Centre for Creative Practices third annual Winter Arts Fair opens on 8th December. The Winter Arts Fair at CFCP is an annual pre-Christmas event to spoil all arts lovers in Dublin where local and international artists create a show full of beautiful, affordable and unique pieces that appeal to anyone looking to purchase that totally unique and full of character personal gift for a loved one, friend or that special person in your life.
The fair takes place in the intimate city centre surroundings of the Centre where even if you decided to postpone the shopping to more abundant years you can just drop in to the Centre. Here you can enjoy our great relaxed atmosphere, listen to some music, enjoy a complimentary glass of mulled wine on the opening night or even make your own Christmas card in an artistic workshop run by renowned print maker, Martha Wakula-Mac.
Artworks from renowned artists Frank O’Dea, Katarzyna Gajewska, Carol Crimmins, Marta Wakula-Mac, Camilla Fanning and Tunde Toth plus a wide range of other top local and International Artist’s work will be for sale.
A special event that we have this year to get a really great buzz going is our arts auction on the 10th Dec. It will be a lot of fun and adrenaline. Our auction is the ultimate way to avoid the usual Christmas routine of spending hours in the crowded shops. Please check our catalogue, mark the pieces you love and bid!!!!! All the money raised will go to helping the artists and the Centre in maintaining its presence as the leading Multicultural Arts Venue in Ireland.
The fair starts on December 8th and runs till December 18th. The opening of the Winter Arts Fair concludes with a concert by jazz singer and composer the stunning Dorota Konczewska.
The Centre for Creative Practices Ireland’s leading Multicultural Arts venue and the only arts centre in Ireland dedicated to connecting immigrant, experimental and emerging artists with the local arts scene and audiences. Established in 2009 in Dublin as a multipurpose venue the Centre for Creative Practices bridges talents, cultures and markets and provides a new model of integrating immigrants and niche artists through intercultural collaborations. We are actively involved in building a network of integrative, multicultural and multidisciplinary arts venues in Europe. We fully believe that our model can be implemented in other countries. |
