Pierre-Emmanuel Godet

I would qualify my artworks as figurative and imaginative, following the art that really speaks to me such as the POP-ART, « Figuration libre » movement, and art actions emerged in the 80’s such as street painting, performance painting and non-serious art.

My current works are based on fishes. Shoal of fishes. I am using the multiplicity of the same element to study crowd effect or particular phenomen requiring many single elements.Current serie is linked to the representation of chemical and physical process. (atoms, molecule, physical force representation)

As a self taught artist, I try to behave the simplest way and instinctive way. I’m exhibiting in public spaces, painting in crowded areas, bringing the studio outside, facing all kinds of critics. This is “Contemporary plein-air”.

Engineering the art. Creating art is like solving problems like transmitting emotion, induce particular reactions. I like to use the very basic toolkit available to solve theses problem, with the research of different solutions. I really think that solutions are made with very few materials but good ideas.

On-line adventure. I keep a link alive between people I met here and people following me from France and other countries. I spent pretty time on it to keep this link alive. My website is regularly updated with all my paintings, songs and action of an emergent artist. (French/English). www.pagazine.com

Music Creation. Started in 2003, I still write and compose songs. 2 albums already made and a third in progress. Songs are published on website as soon they are rendered. (average production of 1 song / month). This is a part of my art. I still compose and play music with the aim to merge both music and painting in the short term.
