Overseas – With a deep and almost schizophrenic sound, Overseas invites the audience to an intimist concert in the Centre for Creative Practices. In their mind travelling performances, the quintet group aims to evoke reflection and awareness as they explore combinations of epic melodies with soundtrack arrangements, avant-garde progressions and whispering ideas.Based in Dublin, Overseas are a multinational eclectic-rock band composed by João Páris (vocals and keyboards) from Portugal, Rui Sanches (guitars) and Geoffrey Piesen (drums) from France, Causio Marini (bass) and Alexandre Manenti (keyboards) from Brazil.

The Centre for Creative Practices aims to develop, sustain, promote and present new arts and creative practices in Dublin and Ireland through the organisation of artistic events and education.
The current climate might seem to be against us. We dare to believe the opposite. We believe that culture is a fundamental value for every society, that the arts are an indispensable system of reference for personal and collective values, an example of diversity and tolerance and a vital tool to neutralise the stagnation. |
