CFCP CINEMA
Celebration of diversity

CFCP CINEMA monthly screenings in a comfortable space in the heart of Dublin.

CFCP CINEMA has been set up as a totally open-access initiative - we have no selection process and no censorship*.  We show what we're given and let the audience make up their minds.  All we want is to celebrate the diversity of the moving image and share it with our audiences. The lack of pre-selection induces a greater element of chance and a possibility for the utmost variety.
(*Of course, we also need to make sure that any type of pornography, films presenting paedophilia, racist or fascist content will not be considered for screenings.)

CFCP CINEMA shows take place once per month on the second Monday of each month. We aim to show ALL kind of films and videos at each show. The shows will be 2.5 hours long with a short break.  We will provide a relaxing informal atmosphere, big screen, good sound, tea & coffee and you are more than welcome to bring your own refreshments with you. We will introduce the films and the film makers are encouraged to answer questions on their films if they so wish. We keep the entrance price as low as we can - €5 for members & €7.50 for non members - we still have to pay the rent.

CFCP CINEMA is part of the Centre for Creative Practices. Centre for Creative Practices, established in 2009, is a new cultural venue in the centre of Dublin city. A multicultural and multidisciplinary approach is what we stand for.  We believe that CULTURE is a fundamental value for every society, that the arts are an indispensable system of reference for personal and collective values and can set an example of diversity and tolerance.  Promoting the arts we aim to neutralise economic stagnation.
